Kelsen Refractories S.A. was founded in the 1960s to produce refractory products for the Iron and Steel -Making industry. Initially monolithics were produced for Casting Ladle linings and then newer higher-tech refractories were gradually developed, in formed and non-formed shapes. By the beginning of the 1980s Kelsen Refractories S.A. already boasted a wide range of refractories that covered a host of applications in the iron and steel-making industry.  In 2001, Refractarios KELSEN became part of the CALCINOR GROUP in a merger aimed at offering a global service to meet the needs of steel makers, from lime and calcined dolomite to refractory products.
